Dear visitors,
Thank you for your interest in Idioms-Today.
There is no team behind this website, just me and my computer in my spare time. My name is Kathleen, also known as Kate. I am an experienced EFL teacher living and working in France.
I set up my first website www.learn-english-today.com in 2003, essentially to help my students to revise basic grammar rules. I then added some exercises and word games, a list of phrasal verbs, a page of useful links and, last but not least, an idiom section.
I very quickly realized that my pages were attracting visitors from all over the world, and their messages encouraged me to continue developing the site.
As I approach retirement, I have decided to put some order into the idiom section which has grown so much over the years that I feel it now warrants a separate website, hence the creation of idioms-today, which I am still busy building!
I should add that all through my teaching years I have found the internet to be a wonderful resource when preparing lessons for my own classes, and I am happy in turn to make a contribution to this worldwide “kitty” so that others can benefit from my experience.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any comments or suggestions.
I hope you enjoy browsing these pages.
Happy surfing!
Kate
